County guide

How to appeal a Gwinnett County, Georgia property tax assessment.

Gwinnett County accepts online appeals and written appeal letters, but the clock is tight: appeals must be filed within 45 days of the Annual Notice of Assessment date.

Deadline rule: Gwinnett says appeals filed online must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on the deadline, and mailed appeals must be postmarked by the appeal deadline.

What to gather

Appeal grounds to consider

Gwinnett lists value, taxability, and uniformity as appeal grounds. For most homeowners, value and uniformity are the core arguments: would the property really sell for the county value, and is it assessed consistently with similar properties?

How Appeal Watch helps

Appeal Watch turns the Gwinnett workflow into a county adapter: deadline tracker, notice decoder, qPublic comp checklist, evidence index, filing statement, and hearing prep.
